At Dynasol we believe that the key step to success in innovation is the partnership with those who best know the end-use application. Based on this, we started a collaboration in 2020 with Recreus, a leader in the development of filaments for 3D printing, to explore our new products' use in the high-demanding additive manufacturing industry.
As a result of this collaboration, Recreus recently launched Filaflex SEBS, a new flexible and 90 Shore A hardness filament for easy 3D printing. This filament, based on specially designed Dynasol SEBS Calprene H, allows excellent results in warping and stringing, with easy support removal. Filaflex SEBS has also shown great detail in 3D printing and does not absorb moisture compared to other commercial solutions like TPU. It permits the printing of flexible and durable pieces with excellent chemical and thermal resistance and soft touch.
A new family of high melt flow SEBS Calprene have been developed for specific TPE applications. They allow for the achievement of high elasticity, and excellent processability, while no migration of possible plasticizers, and becomes a sustainable alternative to flexible PVC.
